Ferrero Rocher

Undoubtedly, indisputably, THE best chocolate there is. My challenge to you... name one better. You won't be able to....

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." Oscar Wilde

At some point in the night I became aware of a warm, small and purring body lying against my thigh. At another point he shifted to actually lie on me. He was, of course, lying on my bladder, but since he had seen fit to forgive me, I magnanimously forgave him for reminding me I needed the loo.

As a result of the bladder I had bad dreams, but I forgave him for those too since he lifted his little head when I woke up from them and started his purr engine roaring till I felt better.

mmm - I love my cat.

[Water is] the only drink for a wise man. Henry David Thoreau

I am weak! I have no willpower! I am awake. Sigh. Coffee again.

No one can hold a grudge like a cat

Brain the size of a walnut and he uses up the limited space to remember that he is not speaking to me. At the beginning of the week I treated him to his monthly flea medication. This involves catching him, holding him down and dropping some oily smelly stuff onto the back of his neck where he can't get to it. Then I release him and he runs around the house like something is chasing him. To top this off, I have to lock him in the house all day on flea-meds day, otherwise he finds someone to clean it off.

Needless to say, Henry is pissed. Very pissed. So peeved he has to show me how peeved he is. I was sitting on the couch with my roomy, he came over and lay down on her lap with his back to me. We knew he was punishing me because he clearly wasn't happy to be there, his ears were back and he wasn't purring. When I tried to be friends again his tail started twitching as if to warn me that an attack was imminent. My other roomy still has a scar on her nose from when she was being friends, so I gave up on trying to get some kitty luv and decided to go to work. He wouldn't even say goodbye to me when I left.

When I got home he was so excited that someone was there to alleviate his boredom other than his sometime demented and tortured sister that he momentarily forgot how peeved he was and was even prepared to chase a fluffy toy. But then he recalled that his neck was sticky with meds and had to stalk away from me and said fluffy toy in a superior manner. His next tactic was to sit just out of reach and glare at me while I attempted to ignore him and nap on my bed.

He continues to give me the cold shoulder. Frankly I am just relieved he didn't pee anywhere to display his disaffection.

Who says cats have less personality than dogs!
